TELEVISION
“The
Mentalist ” is a new CBS series starring Simon
Baker. Since I’m one of the few SAG
members who actually plays the bagpipes, they gave me the job. I had a
great time with the crew and cast!
The episode is called “Ladies in Red” and the series airs
starting in the fall of 2008.
On
the 15th of September, 2008, I was honored to perform for the wedding
of George Takei and Brad Altman. The couple married in Downtown Los Angeles
in the Democracy Hall at the Japanese American National Museum.
“The
Suite Life of Zack and Cody”
is a kid’s show on the Disney Channel and ABC. One episode required
a few guys in kilts with bagpipes. The episode is called “Team Tipton.”
I
was called to be “evidence” for a young lady whose cousin was
just starting college. This young man wanted to wear what HE wanted to wear,
dressed rather shabbily in a kilt, boots and other inappropriate attire.
Not to be pushed aside, the cousin then “took him to fashion court.”
I sure showed this cousin that if you’re going to do something, do
it right, o
r
don’t do it at all! Quite frankly, I don’t think that I’ve
ever played the pipes inside of a court room setting.
The
show was called Style Court and I’ve
been told it ran on the E! Entertainment Channel.
